Each year, the Educational Foundation awards college scholarships to qualified accounting students in their fifth year who are working towards the 150-hour requirement needed to receive their CPA license. The Educational Foundation supports the APBP training for Wisconsin teachers to assist with providing a high-quality accounting curriculum for students. The WICPA Educational Foundation supports numerous state-wide activities to assist with broadening and advancing the awareness, perception and future of the accounting profession. “My week was very exciting. I got to see what an accountant does and how many big corporations there are in Pittsburgh. I learned that each type of accountant is very different. This week opened my eyes to what I can do. I’m definitely considering accounting.”

In this four-week, real-world learning experience, students use standard concepts from managerial and cost accounting to help local business BeYoutiful Bath Bombs maximize its profits.
